Singer-Songwriter Eivol Launches Crowdfunding Campaign to Fund Debut AlbumBarcelona-based singer and songwriter Eivol has launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund her debut album “Groove Fusion.” The campaign, called “Help me make my dreams come true,” will run through June 2.
Eivol is known for fusing genres and celebrating the diversity of Afro-American and Afro-Latin music. Her debut album "Groove Fusion" will feature songs that blend musical styles from different eras into a cohesive whole."I want to make an album that represents who I am as an artist" Eivol said. "'Groove Fusion' means to be a celebration of Black music and its influence across borders and cultures. Your support for this campaign, will contribute to this effort." In the wake of the recent UN International Decade for People of African Descent and the upcoming World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, this project strongly resonates with the current global conversations and taps into this very momentum around celebrating diversity and using music as a platform for social change.
Eivol has been writing and performing music since she was a teenager in Barcelona. She was immersed in music at an early age, starting to write her own songs at the age of 13 and learning to play the piano and self-teaching to play the guitar, influenced by the punk and punk-rock artists that she followed in her adolescence. Over the years she decided to embark in her career as a lead singer, withdrawing from punk, which was her main soundtrack during adolescence, to embrace the Soul and the Funk music. Her lyrics often address themes of identity, relationships, and social justice mainly in English.

The crowdfunding campaign has a goal of 8.000€ to fund recording, mixing, and mastering of the 10-track album, plus promoting it with media outreach campaigns. Supporters who donate 10€ or more will receive rewards including signed copies of the album, limited-edition merchandise, and presential listening parties.
